A few people said I was too tough on Cynthia Dill in my column last week in the Portland Press Herald. Actually, I like Cynthia and appreciate what she's trying to do. But the numbers speak for themselves, and despite plenty of push-back about process and indignation, nobody disputed those numbers. Dill can't win and a vote for her, in the end, will only help Republican Charlie Summers, who is the focus of this week's column.
